Testing Week!
It’s time for March Musical Ladder Testing this week, March 20th-25th! Students scheduled for MLS testing are posted in the school lobby next to the stairs. Check your lesson notes or email your teacher for more specific testing details.

LSM Recitals This Weekend!

What is a “Practice Routine”?
A “Practice Routine” is a consistent, structured practice plan so you know what and how to practice throughout the week. It will also help you have a balanced practice session and all you to get to all the things your teacher assigns.
Sample Practice Routine:
1. Warm Ups & Technique (long tones, scales, chords, articulations patterns, etc.)
2. Review music from the prior week using your teacher’s notes from the lesson on how to improve.
3. Practice a new piece (if one was assigned). Learning small sections at a time throughout the week may help learn the piece more accurately.
4. Complete a Theory Book page, or another assignment by the teacher.
5. Play a song (or songs) you know really well for fun as a final reward for your practice efforts and so you remember how to play them!
This is just an example. Talk with your teacher about what sort of Practice Routine might be best for you at your next lesson.

Little School of Music will be closed from April 2nd-9th. There are no lessons or classes during this week.

Thursday, June 8th: Level 1 at 4:00pm, Level 2 at 5:15pm
Next School Recital Weekend: June 24th/25th, 2023 (signup week June 5th-10th)
