Music Instructor Highlight: Rich Brown
Hello! My name is Rich Brown and I am a jazz pianist based in Los Angeles, CA with 20 years of piano teaching experience.
In addition to Jazz, I play other styles of music including Pop, R&B, Electronic, Musical Theater, and Classical music. Having experience performing throughout the greater Los Angeles area for many years, I’ve decided to focus on teaching and continuing to expand my musical knowledge.
At first, learning music didn’t come easily to me, but through my musical struggles and experiences, and working with dedicated, patient teachers, I’ve become the musician and teacher I am today. I am grateful for them and hope to extend that experience through my passion for sharing that knowledge with anyone who wishes to learn and enjoy the process of learning. Music is fun and engaging at every level, even if you're a complete beginner!
Leadership Program
Community Service is our Leadership principle for the month of November. Check out our website post and Youtube video here: Leadership Program - COMMUNITY SERVICE
Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It’s important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It’s the way in which we outselves grow and develop.
Community Partnership
Little School of Music just completed a 6-week music class offered through the after-school program of our friends at Ekata.
Students played a variety of instruments including drums, hand percussion, recorders, and singing, and learned the “Skeleton Dance”. Special thanks to Miss Mindy and Matt Fullove for planning and teaching these classes!
Leadership Spotlight
The Little School of Music Rock Bands played for a community fundraiser event through the Streets Are for Everyone Organization on Sunday, October 29th at West Creek Park.
Special thank you to the bands “Spotlight”, “Crazy Crew”, and "“Flash Back”, the parents, and Director Frank Browne for their participation and representing Little School of Music! This is a perfect example of givng back to your community. ♥️

On Saturday, October 21st, the LSM Rock Band “Flash Back” and Kavindee Hettige (harp) recorded music with guest producer, Joe Day. A very special thank you to Joe and Director Frank. We’ll let you know once the recording is mixed, mastered, and released. Keep an eye out for our music video clips coming soon on socials too!…
